Last Friday I spent my afternoon at The Royal Horseguards Hotel where I gave a short talk on the style of Princess Grace Kelly to room full of fashion and entertainment journalists!
Luckily I was far too distracted by the endless flow of champagne & rose cocktails to get too nervous! Alongside this, they had my favourites; macaroons! I did indulge a little too much, but it was a Friday!
Before I took to the stage, there was a small demonstration from a Benefit make up artist who showed how easy it is to get a Grace Kelly natural glow. Luckily I took notes, but she made it look so easy! I believe they are putting the information on their website. It’s worth a look.
I took a small selection of clothes with me from dating from the mid 50’s to present day, all in the Kelly style. I like to make clear that you don’t have to shell out for a 1950’s dress just to obtain that look. There are some great 80’s copies out there for half the price and with the right accessories and make up, you can still look amazing!
The bespoke afternoon tea inspired by events in Grace Kelly’s life will be served to the public from the 2nd June – 15th June (2014). It cost’s £45.00 a head. I highly recommend!
On top of all of this, I was given a goodie bag containing chocolate, tea, a book on Kelly, a benefit sample and more macaroons!
I’ll be posting my talk to a press pack, so once they are done with it, I’ll pop it up here!
